Debra Echard – Bio. 

Debra Echard has been Set Decorating for over 30 years. Her diverse talents include Set Decorating, Production Design, Visual Merchandising and Event Planning. 

Debra has worked in all areas of the entertainment industry including Commercials, Film, Television and Music Videos. 

One day while Debra was working on a window display a Producer came into the store admiring her work,

He suggested that she might like Set Decorating.   Shortly after she was introduced to production team at Propaganda films.  It was a natural transition into Decorating Music videos and commercials for Directors like Michael Bay and David Fincher. 

Her vast experience and natural understanding of Design shows in her work.  Transforming locations and empty stages into believable and elaborate sets,  Enhancing storytelling and creating a mood. 

Besides a creative eye for detail.  Debra is also an expert at all levels of budgeting.  Having worked on major motion pictures as well as independent films.  She has also Production Designed Commercials for over 15 years and understands all aspects of the Art Department. 

Debra has been nominated for television Emmys and has worked on many DGA award-winning commercials.   Her educational background includes a Fine Arts degree from Buffalo State College as well as a Visual merchandising degree from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.  

Debra is a member of SDSA and served on the board of the Parent Council at LACHSA  LA  County High School for the Arts  2016-19
